You Can Be Sure!

You Can Be Sure!

Jesus is God.  As such He is also Lord.   When the angel announced to Joseph, who was engaged to Mary, that Mary would have a child born of the Holy Spirit the angel also said “… you will name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21, NCV)  His name, Jesus, specifies why God came as a man—to save people from the punishment of sin. So believing in Jesus means we believe He is God, that He died taking the punishment for our sins and that He came alive again.

If you are here on this page because you are not quite sure if you are saved from the punishment of sin – that you will one day be with God forever in heaven then hopefully these verses will help.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NLT)

that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.” (John 3:15, ESV)

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31, NIV84)

And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12, ESV)

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12, NLT)

Everyone who has faith in the Son has eternal life. But no one who rejects him will ever share in that life, and God will be angry with them forever.” (John 3:36, CEV)

that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.” (Romans 10:9–10, NASB95)

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.” (John 6:47, NKJV)

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.” (John 6:47, ESV)

as the Scripture says, “Anyone who calls on the Lord will be saved.”” (Romans 10:13, NCV)
